I grew up in a creative household where artistic expression was always encouraged. My older sister and I began making short films on our family camera when we were kids, and that curiosity for visual storytelling never left me. Transferring to Perpich in my junior year of high school was a transformative experience that allowed me to fully pursue my passion for visual media.
At Perpich, I expanded my technical foundation in photography while deepening my interest in filmmaking. During that time I participated in several photography exhibitions and film competitions. My work was recognized with the Upcoming Woman in Film & Television award at the EDU Film Festival, and my documentary received Best Documentary in 2022.
While attending DePaul, I worked on numerous independent student productions, including episodic projects, short films, and documentaries. Working across a variety of sets strengthened my love for filmmaking and helped me develop a versatile approach to production. I learned that each genre brings its own creative challenges and techniques.
Today my work focuses on visual storytelling through lighting, composition, and atmosphere. I continue to enjoy making films of all genres and have found a passion in lighting. Whether I’m shooting still photography or working on film productions, I’m drawn to images that feel intentional, cinematic, and emotionally grounded. I am excited to continue my journey and grow as a filmmaker and gaffer.
